This week we've got an expanded Bandwith Report for you, featuring an in-depth look at broadband growth worldwide. The UK passed the US in broadband penetration for the first time last month, at least on a per-capita basis. Korea continues its lead in overall penetration, but Finland, the Netherlands and Norway are coming on strong, and lead all countries surveyed in broadband growth over the last year. US Broadband penetration climbed again last month, but the US fell another two places in the global rankings over the past year by the OECD when you extrapolate the numbers till present day.>

- The UK passed the US for the first time in broadband penetration on a per-capita basis in August. The US continued its fall to 13th in broadband penetration among all OECD countries, yet leads all countries surveyed in total broadband subscriptions. Finland, the Netherlands, and Norway lead the pack in broadband penetration growth. Meanwhile, US broadband penetration grew to 62.5% among active Internet users in September 2005.
