This week we thought a behind-the-scenes look at our new dedicated server would prove illuminating. CWI Hosting's CTO was kind enough to grant permission to quote him, when that fateful email about our overloaded shared server came our way. One big benefit is that we now use mod_gzip to compress our textual content. We compare the effects of HTTP compression on three home pages.
