Use Lowercase Markup for Better Compression - Web Page Analyzer 0.90a

Optimization Week Issue #31, June 28, 2004

We've got two new items for you this week, both lowercase related. First this week's Speed Tweak shows how using all lowercase code can improve compression ratios for textual content like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We test five popular sites for improved compression. Next we've updated our Web Page Analyzer to fix a bug for URLs with uppercase letters. Thanks to WebTalkGuys.com, and PCTALKweb.net for their radio play. Be sure to let us know if you find any bugs, or have any feature requests for our new analyzer. More updates are on the way.
